Sunlight deep inside the museum

The museum ”Teknikens och Sjöfartens hus” in Malmö, Sweden, leads the sunlight via a GK-Parans natural sunlight system collector , model SP4-12 deep into the museum building. 80 meters fiber optic cables leads the sunlight to a corridor. A hybrid luminaire, developed in collaboration with Toshiba, spreads light gently over the floor. When the sun is not shining the artificial LED light continues to give light. In this way, the same luminaire is used for both the natural light and the artificial.

The installation is a part of the EU project A2PBEER, in which GK-Parans has participated in together with Toshiba, among others.
