Natural light for hallways and waiting rooms lacking windows

CHALLENGE

A health care center situated in a shopping mall in Sweden has limited natural light in the hallways, which also serves as waiting rooms. For the people spending time there, the levels of natural light needs to be increased.

SOLUTION

To increase the levels of natural light in hallways, the construction company has on behalf of its tenant chosen to install a GK- Parans natural sunlight system collector with sunlight luminaires. Via thin flexible fiber optic cables, with customized cable lengths, the sunlight is lead from the sunlight collectors on the roof to the waiting rooms several meters down. In this installation 56 luminaires of model Pure Point Light are spreading the light in the hallways.
